    1. Re: [VASHENAN] BRIDGES
    2. Sharon, I don't know the answer to your question concerning a Bridges Mountain; however, the early surveys for Joseph BRIDGES and Mary BRIDGES may give a clue to the where the area is that you are trying to find. There is a Joseph BRIDGES with surveys: on 27 May 1765-5 Aug 1765; 65 acres on the drains of Back Creek and on: 24 July 1775-8 Aug 1775; 390 acres on the drains of Back Creek adjoining Absalom HAYWORTH with HAYWORTH's Mill mentioned. Absalom HAYWORTH's survey of 1750 states he lives on 227 acres on Babs Creek near Back Creek . The house and mill being on Babbs Creek. There is a survey for a James DILLON, heir of William DILLON surveyed 13 Mar 1754; 56 acres on the south side of Back Creek-----------this land is devised by Wm DILLON to his son James DILLON reserving 1/3 for Mary BRIDGES, widow of William DILLON. The Thomas DOSTER survey for the HAYWORTH heirs of 1751-52 mentions on the draughts of Back Creek under the Southside of North Mountain. James HAYWORTH's survey of 1751 says he lives on a great spring branch of Back Creek under North Mountain. Chocy **************Start the year off right.
