Does anyone know of a Bridges' Mountain somewhere in the vicinity of Rockingham and Shenandoah County? Before my sister passed away she told me that there is/was a mountain known as Bridges' Mountain. I have never seen it on any map or heard anyone talk about it. Could someone please let me know if it does or ever has existed. My nephew also is emphatic about it. Since Bridges was my ggrandmother's maiden name I would have thought I would have run across information on it by now. However, it seems to be as elusive as my Bridges ancestors. I'm still looking for the parents and siblings of Edmund Bridges. His wife was, I believe, Elizabeth Sprinkle. However, I am not fully sure of that either. I have come across information that seems to fit with what I have but it is under the name of Bridget not Bridges. If anyone has Bridges connections I would love to hear from you. Edmund and Elizabeth were my gggrandparents. Their son, Marion Francis Bridges, was my ggrandfather and his daughter, Valley Virginia, was my grandmother. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this for me. Sharon ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
