Nancy- I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the glimpses you give us into your life and your memories. I fell in love with the Valley when I was a young girl listening to my dad talk about his life there as a young boy. His family moved to Ohio when he was 7-9 years old. Then, in 1966, we went to the VALLEY !!! I was ecstatic! I wish I had been born there and lived there all my life! I absolutely love the entire area even though I saw only a small part of it. I was born and raised in Ohio but feel as though I belong to Virginia. My husband and I have even talked about moving there but Ohio is where my children and grandchildren are, so that's where I am. I wish I could remember more of what my father told me but my memory is not what it once was. I have really been enjoying all the stories that have been coming in from people there. I have saved all of them to show my daughter. She'll get a kick out of some of them. Please continue to share with us and help those of us who have not been blessed with a life in the valley see it through your eyes and the eyes of the others who have shared their stories.
