It's very frustrating. 2 references in Reformed Zion-Pine, and then that's it, kaput. Elizabeth's parents arrived in Philly 1750-54; she was b. 1759, Berks Co, PA; and she would have been about 11 when they moved from Berks Co, PA, down to the Woodstock area. I'd think that was too young to form an attachment and want to return to PA for a marriage, but there's no marriage for her in Shenandoah (or VA) circa 1776-7, either. Maybe those being Revolutionary War years tells part of the story, too? Or maybe part of it is Jacob Jr's traveling back & forth between Smyth and Shenandoah counties, and they decided to join him downstate. I don't find Bogert/Burkhart on the 1790 or 1800 VA Tax List Censuses for Shenandoah Co. I'm thinking that it's their son Georg Burkhart who pops-up later near Seven Mile Ford on the Middle Fork of the Holston River, Smyth Co, but my only reasoning is that her older bro Jacob Jr and her next younger sis (married George Weaver) are all down there in that area by the mid-1790"s. All I can say is that the Blessing kids hung- together through VA, OH, IN, and IL -- but that isn't proof. You have a good point though - the Rev. War - have you tried www.Footnote.com ? what I like about it is that they pick up when your ancestor was referenced in another's pension record. maybe you can find it that way?
