People used to stop in and get them from her so her family must have made good ones Yes, you are right about there being no lunch in the Valley. Mattie just refers to dinner and supper for what we would call lunch (dinner) and dinner (supper) today. My mother made Rivels with chicken added. Her roots go back to Maryland and Pennsylvania but she never wrote the recipe down and for some dumb reason, I never asked her for that particular recipe.
