    2. Part 5 of 6 ----------------------- CHILDREN OF ISAAC COVERSTONE & MARY ELIZABETH "POLLY" CLEM 3. MADISON COVERSTONE Born: 26 August 1855, Shenandoah County, Virginia Married: Wednesday, 26 November 1879 in Maryland to Idabelle Victoria McInturff Died: 8 October 1914, Shenandoah County, Virginia Burial: Henry McInturff Cemetery, Seven Fountains, Shenandoah County, VA IDABELLE VICTORIA MCINTURFF Born: 14 February 1862, Shenandoah County, Virginia Died: 23 February 1947, Shenandoah County, Virginia Burial: Henry McInturff Cemetery, Seven Fountains, Shenandoah Co. VA ------- The Shenandoah Herald Wednesday, 3 December 1879 Page 3, Column 2 ACCIDENT Mrs. Maddison Coverstone was thrown from a horse last Wednesday and dragged a short distance. She received severe injuries from which we understand she is recovering. She had been married in Maryland and was on her return, having gone from this place on horseback. Her hat was about falling off her head, and she dropped the reins to catch it. Her horse was frightened by the sudden movement of her hands, and gave a quick jump by which she was unseated. Her horse ran into the woods and while Mrs. Coverstone's foot hung in the stirrup her head came in contact with a tree. It was a sad ending of a lively bridal tour but it was fortunate that she escaped with her life. ----- 1880 Federal Census: Virginia Johnston Township, ED 85, Shenandoah County Enumerated 25 June 1880 Page 418B Lines 42-47, HH 406/423 M.
