    3. Gloria, Thank you very much for looking and pointing me in the right direction. I am planning a trip to VA in the spring, so hopefully I will find her. If you don't mind, I have another quick question. I found a reference for William J. Blackwood. He was suppose to be listed in the Shenandoah County VA Court Minute Book (1816-1821). The date is 9 Mar 1818. When I looked on line, I found a transcription of this book, but I could not find William Blackwood listed in it. Do you know if this entire book is transcribed? Thank you very much for your time. That newspaper would be in the library at Edinburg. 3. This is definitely great information! Thank you! I believe this family and some neighbors moved from Shenandoah County to Rutherford County TN around this time. Do you think there is anywhere else I could look for the court case of Elizabeth Blackwood and William Lawrence/Robert Shaw? I am new at genealogy, and I really don't know what I should be looking for. Like I mentioned, I have seen this case referenced in several researchers notes, but I have not been able to make contact with those researchers, or find the information. I feel confident that if it was found once, it can be found again :).
