Hello Lw, Thank you so much for the information. I have ordered the book last night and I can't wait to get it. I am burning with curiosity however. Can I ask you... does it say who Samuels parents were?? This has been a brick wall (one of many) for me for several years now, and it is very exciting to finally have some hope of a breakthrough. Thanks again Lisa In a message dated 12/1/2010 7:10:03 PM Eastern Standard Time, radio@zappahead.net writes: > > Hi Lisa, > > Samuel Wilt and family are written up in Volume 5 of Mr. Vann's work. > Two pages on the immediate family, and another page on related > families (Miller and Minnick). > > I got Volume 5 in paperback and Volumes 1-4 in PDF from > www.heritagebooks.com earlier this year. Sorry, there's no mention of Samuel's parents in Vann's book. Here is the first paragraph: "Samuel Wilt was married to Lydia Miller on 28 May 1846. The bondsman for the marriage was George Miller. According to Waverly Barb, Barb family historian, Lydia Miller was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine. Jacob Miller married Catherine Sager on 22 Oct 1803. This family was listed as Wiett in the 1870 census. Samuel was listed as an iron ore miner." I came across Samuel and his family in the 1850 Census a while ago, where his surname is listed as "Will." This caused me some excitement until I realized it was a typo. Regards, Larry Will On Thu, Dec 2, 2010 at 8:53 AM, <LadyMist1@aol.com> wrote: > Hello Lw, > > > Thank you so much for the information.
