It is believed that this Bible is still in the neighborhood of Woodstock or somewhere in the county. Any one having in their possession this book will please report the fact to the undersigned who will by letter communicate with them upon the subject. HENRY ST RINKER, Lovettsville, Virginia Note: Henry Fravel and Anna Keller had Jonathan Fravel married to Mary McCord, who had Mary Fravel married to Henry St. John Rinker Jacob Rinker Jr. married Mary Fravel, (d/o of George Sr. and Elizabeth Bushong), who had Henry St. John Rinker who married Mary Fravel, d/o Jonathan Fravel and Mary McCord, and Jonathan Fravel was the son of Henry Fravel married to Anna Keller and Anna Keller was the daughter of George Keller Sr. married to Barbara Ann Hottel. ------------------- The Shenandoah Herald Friday, 25 July 1890 Page 3, Column 2 Rev. Henry St. John Rinker, a minister of the Reformed Church and a native of this county, celebrated his golden wedding a few days ago, at his home in Lovettsville, Loudon County, Virginia. Mr. Rinker was married fifty years ago in Woodstock, by Rev. John V. Rigdon, an able and much loved minister of the Methodist Church. Among those still living who were present at the marriage are Mr. Isaac Haas and Mr. Charles Welsh. We are glad to know that Mr. Rinker and his wife are in the enjoyment of excellent health. ------------------- The Shenandoah Herald Friday, 8 July 1892 Page 2, Column 6 DIED William Kirby Rinker died 2 July 1892, near Maurertown, Virginia, aged 17 years 10 months 28 days. He was a son of Robert D. and Julia Kline Rinker, and grandson of Rev. H. St. Johns Rinker. He was born in Pataskola, Ohio, and when two weeks old his mother died. He was then taken into the home of his grandparents and under their Christian instruction and care he remained until his death. He was quiet and unassuming. For one his age he had read much, and was well posted in history. He became a victim of Bright's Kidney disease. It soon became evident to him that his last day was not far off. Though young in years, he was willing to leave this world at his Master's call. he was a member of the Reformed Church. The funeral services wree conducted by Rev. A. K. Kline and Rev. T. F. Hoffmier, of Middletown, Maryland, assisted by Rev. A. A. J. Bushong. They were held 4th July in the Reformed Church, Woodstock. -------------------- The Shenandoah Herald Friday, 12 April 1895 Page 3, Column 3 OBITUARY MRS. MARY RINKER Mrs. Mary Rinker, wife of Rev. Hy. St. John Rinker, died near Maurertown, Shenandoah County, Virginia, 7th April 1895. Mrs. Rinker was born on the 16th of October 1820 near Woodstock, and at the time of her death was 74 years, 5 months, and 25 days. On the 7th of July 1840, she was married to Rev. Hy St. John Rinker, with whom she lived in holy wedlock for almost 55 years. She was the mother of 14 children, 11 of whom are still living, three having died in infancy. The deceased was paralyzed 14 years ago since which time she was confined mainly to her home. Her death though sudden was not unexpected. Her funeral was held in the Reformed Church at Woodstock, her pastor Rev. N. H. Skyles preached the sermon, assisted in the service by Rev. A. B. Bauman of Tom's Brook, Rev. J. P. Harmer of Timberville, Dr. Stephenson of Woodstock, and Rev. E. B. Shaver of Maurertown. ------------------- The Shenandoah Herald Friday, 26 January 1900 Page 3, Column 5 REV. HENRY ST. J. RINKER Rev. Henry St J. Rinker died at his residence near Maurertown, on Wednesday night, 31 January, aged about 81 years. Mr. Rinker for many years had been a minister of the Reformed Church. When the Synod met here last year, he was suffering greatly from disease, but rode to Woodstock and met with that body. He was highly esteemed where he lived. When unable to fill a charge as Pastor, he returned to his farm, near Maurertown where he spent the closing days of his life. He had a large circle of relatives and friends in this county, who loved him while he lived and will continue to gratefully remember him. ------------------- TOMBSTONE INSCRIPTION Massanutten Cemetery, Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia Rev. RINKER Joseph F. Rinker, son of the late Rev. Hy St. John Rinker, died suddenly at Shenandon, Va, 23 December 1904, in his 58th years. The body of the deceased was brought to the home of his brother Philip Rinker near Maurertown, and was buried in Massanutten Cemetery on Christmas day, services being conducted by his pastor, Rev. N. H. Skyles, at the Reformed Church of this place. Mr. Rinker was a man of excellent character.
