I see a land record on 01 Jan 1800 that lists the children of and heirs of David McCarty as: John McCarty, John Hurst and his wife Mary, Absolum Hurst and his wife Catherine, Jessie Hurst and his wife Nancy, Sally McCarty, Thomas McCarty, William McCarty. Each a portion of 50# paid by John Gray of the county of Caroline - sell 58 acres of land - which was purcased by David McCarty (deceased) by deed and recorded in the County of Caroline. 08 Sep 1800 John McCarty and wife Elizabeth sells 172 acres which John bought in 1796.
