    2. Vashenan Listmates, Sometimes these Bushongs, all with the same names, make me a little crazy. I need to correct one statement below. It should read: 1832 - Agreement between John Bushong and BROTHER-IN-LAW John Brown. AND No, we don't believe that this John Brown is the one they hung around the Civil War! Also this was the time frame that this John Bushong married for a second time to widow Catharine (Ruffner )Clem who lived in Page County for awhile. The obligation of this article are as such that the said John Bushong rented to the said John Brown all the following property which the said Bushong this day purchased and paid Brown at the constable sale for a term of ten years for the sum of one dollar per year rent: one walnut table, 1 desk and feather bed and --pillows, 1 straw do. 1 boulster, 1 chest, 1 quilt, 1 coverlet, 1 dito, 1 dito, 1 sheet one bedstead and cord 2 bedticks, 1 chest, 7 plates, 5 cups and saucers, 1 rug, 3 boles, 6 forks and 8 knives, 1 teapot 4 teaspoons, 1 mild pot, 5 chairs, 1 pair of shovel and tongs, 1 frying pan, doz. Irons, 1 coffee pot, 1 spinning wheel, 1 oven and lid, 1 tea kettle, 3 pairs pot hooks, 1 hammer, 1 table, 1 coverlid, 1 old do. 1 sheet, 1 bedstead and cord upstairs. To the above obligation we both do agree to bind ourselves our heirs and in a final sum of one hundred dollars Current money of the United States for the true performances."
