I found them in the 1850-1880 census records in Shenandoah County. It appears that William Liggett died between 1870 and 1880 so it looks like there should be a tombstone for him. I can't find burial locations for his parents Peter Liggett and Catherine Gibler either. Peter died after the 1860 census (he was 83). And Catherine appears to have died after the 1850 census. Perhaps some of you might have some resources I have not seen yet. ------------------------- If you check the Chancery Records for the State of Virginia you will find the Liggett name in Rockingham and Shenandoah but no mention of William or Peter. However, Peter Liggett is prevalent in Frederick County so possibly the Liggetts you are seeking were buried in Frederick County. Also in the 1870's a woman name Catharine Liggett gave a deposition in Loudoun County. You might want to check those out. Gloria B.
