Did I ask you your Fox connection. My great great grandmother was Elizabeth Fox who married a Costello but they were mostly from Rappahannock and Warren counties. Hello, Once again, to remind everyone, Cemetery listings for Shenandoah County are available at the Shenandoah County GenWeb site listed both by cemetery and alphabetically with photos of a few thousand of them. The link to all can be found at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~vashenan/cemproject.html>. Thought some folks researching these families may find this interesting: I was researching the Henry's from Shenandoah Co. and what later became Warren Co. about 1830 - 1850 where they relocated in Warren Co., Ohio, i.e., William Henry and wife Nancy Doctor and Enoch Henry who married Rebecca Doctor and found that William Tricky and wife Thiodocia were living in the same township. I also found John Doctor and family and John Clippard and wife Nancy Henry and family living right next door to William (separate homes). I looked at everyone living in the township each census year because the name spellings were so varied it was impossible to query on-line. William Trickey's name was spelled Tricky in Shenandoah Co. and in 1850 he is no longer enumerated with wife Thiodocia who may have died but has a new wife Sarah and the many children, including a daughter 8 years old named Thiodocia. John Clippard is spelled Clippard in 1820 in Shenandoah Co. (Isabella Furnace or Speedwell Forge), Klipard in 1830 in Warren Co., OH and as Clifford in 1840 and 1850 in Warren Co., OH but he is in the same house with the same wife Nancy Henry and children still living right next to William Henry for at least 30 years.

Cal Sonner has a website where he has over 100 cemeteries. Maybe someone could give you the address. I looked for it but cannot locate it. Sandra Yelton told me about a new book that I desperately want to find. Does anyone on the list know where I can find a copy of "The Autobiography and Chronological Life of Reverend Paul Henkel (1754-1825) From the Unpublished Manuscripts. . .Translated from Original Sources" by Reverend William J. Finck, edited by Melvin L. Miller and Published by Reverend Anthony Jacob Henckel Family National Association, Inc. 2002 She told me that someone bought it for her from someone in a bank who was a member of the Henkel family association. Are there any Henkel family members out there or does anyone else know how I could get a copy? Thanks, Nancy Corder Halvorson Santa Fe, NM

Wow. This was great. No I did not have this info. I did know that a Moses married Emily Morgan in the 1843 and had believed it was most likely his son (Moses Jr.) that was enumerated with him in 1825 and this list probably includes most of their children. If you are sure of the county you can specify it as well. It sounds likely that the town and/or the church named Mount Hope near Middletown, VA are what you are looking for. Walt
In 1840 Moses Henry age 86 was listed in the Virginia Revolutionary War Pensioners List and in the U.S. census Warren County, Virginia, age 80-90 yrs. but no township is listed. He does not appear in the 1850 census. I'm guessing he must have died. I found a website that states he died at "Mount Hope" but have no idea where this is or if it is correct. I would like to find out where in Warren Co. he died including hopefully the cemetery and date. Does anyone know if there is cemetery information available for Warren Co. on-line where I may look for his death date and cemetery information? Please point me in the right direction if anyone has any idea where I should go from here. Thanks.

Hi, I am sure this question has been asked and answered many times, but please do it once more for me. I would like to get a copy of a will and deed from Shenandoah. Neither needs to be certified, just documentated where it came from. The Library of Virginia will provide this service for me at a cost of $30 per document. Is there a cheaper route? I have a telephone number for what I thought was the county clerk's office, but it seems to be for a private home. Would some one be good enough to walk me through this? Thank you very much.
