    2. I'm not related to any Kiblers that I know of, but I remember a man who lived on a mountainside who was a rock collector and had a small rock shop next to his house. His name was Mr. Kibler - not sure of his first name (I was young enough that he was "Mr" to me) but it may have been Louis/Lewis - for some reason that rang bells. Since Daddy and I both were rockhounds we used to visit him whenever we went over the mountain to visit mom's side of the family in Luray. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I just looked up some 1810 Shenandoah County Census information on pages 7, 8, 10 and 11. Does anyone have any idea what section of Shenandoah County these four census pages are covering? I am interested in finding out if pages 7, 8, 10 and 11 are part of the land which was cut from Shenandoah and given to Page County around 1833; Or was it in the part that remained in Shenandoah County. Can some one tell me? Or tell me how can I find out? Many Thanks,...........fflat@att.net

    3. The Christian Kibler/Gibler line is the Shenandoah County, VA line. Adam is not a part of this line. And I don't know of a Martin being a part of this line. If so, he was not named in the will. Did he stay in Germany? You mentioned Martin's son was born in 1779 and Chriatian was in the Shenandoah County are by 1764 according to a deed. Christian Kibler - Shenandoah County, Virginia Will Book B page 363 dated 12 Aug 1786 and proved 21 July 1787. Wife - Mary Magdalene. Sons - William, Philip, Christian, John & Lewis. 3. I have a family of KIBLER's in my data but they are a little later than the era of the ones mentioned in the previous messages. My Great-Grand father, John L. Schaeffer, married a Martha Kibler, and her father was John J. Kibler, born abt 1820, in Shen. Co., but I have nothing farther back on that family. ceya Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: <GilMarlin@aol.com> To: <VASHENAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 27, 2003 1:27 AM Subject: Re: [VASHENAN] Kibler > Thanks for the information, I have just started this Va connection, a newly > found cousin says there is, the Kibler line of mine came to the US from > Erbstetten Germany in 1832 and settled in Trumbull County Ohio > > > ==== VASHENAN Mailing List ==== > To unsubscribe, send a msg. to VASHENAN-L-request@rootsweb.com or VASHENAN-D-request@rootsweb.com with the word unsubscribe. > > >

    3. Madaline Kibler and Peter Hoop marriage bonds were on 23 March 1796. She was the daughter of John and Catherine Kibler. John was the son of Christian and Mary Magdalene Kibler (both born in Germany). The name has also been seen as Gibler. Not my direct line but do know that John's brother Lewis died in Highland County, Ohio in 1818. Lewis had 10 children and I believe they were all in Highland County. They were: Christian, Philip, Jacob, Mathias, Lewis, Jr., John, William, Samuel, Sarah Jane, and Abraham. Do have more on this family. Will be glad to send it to you. Mary Randall
