Could someone that has these CDs please do a look up for me.....Heinrich Kibler early 1700's from germany
Rick , that was a very good suggestion, I thought I had but perhaps I overlooked the obvious
Perhaps try posting to the Germany list, especially if you have some idea where he might be from. Many (if not all) older European records are still kept at the Municipal level. My Wife is a LaTour. It was rumored throughout the family that her LaTours originated in Toulon, France. I posted to the France list and within a day, a wonderful Frenchman in Toulon was checking the local records. He found records back to the late 1600's!!!! In return, I did a little research here for his Wife's line. It was a very successful experience. Rick Monroe
Heinrich was my 4th great grandfather. I have been looking for years and so far no one has come up with a village, town, or region for him. Mary Randall Message text written by INTERNET:VASHENAN-L@rootsweb.com >does anyone know what village he originated from in Germany? <

Nancy, I checked for the surname RALLS in the Northern Neck counties of Virginia. None for Frederick Co., Shenanadoah Co., and surrounding counties for landowners in 1815; however, there was one in Stafford County, VA: RALLS, Frances, of Kentucky; Middle Run and North Run; 10N. You didn't mention what time frame? Regards, Chocy
Anyone out there help me with the RALLS surname, Warren County - previously Shenandoah County? Looking for history on Robinson Ralls. Nancy

This is a hoax that has been around for a long time. Go to any of the anti-virus sites such as Norton or McAfee and they will tell you. The deleted file is a needed file for your computer. The Free Press Pages from newspapers past March 25, 1887 Indians: On March 1 as Mr. Turner A Miller, son of Mr. J. P. Miller, was plowing on the Sigler farm near Mt Jackson, the plowshare unearthed a rib of a human being. His curiosity being aroused, he secured a pick and shovel and made further investigation. He found four well preserved skeletons, tomahawks, pipe &c. Several doctors who examined the skeleton, suppose two of them are men - one very large - and two of women. The young man when he opened up the mound and saw the bones, became frightened, and called for his mother shouting, "Indians. Indians." Fearing they would rise from the grave and scalp him, and asked if he should plow any more or leave the field. The colored man with him is now almost white. Both see Indians and scalps in their dreams.
Shirley, Yes, the Corders were there. However, there is very little information that indicates how they were related to each other. You may be able to help me. You mentioned the Corders in Culpeper more than one. Do you know anything about the Mary Corder who m. Jonas Beahm in Culpeper in 1828? None of my Corder researchers seem to know who she could be. The only Corders and Carders in the 1820-1830 census indexes for Culpeper County can be related to families that do not include her. I keep wondering if she could be related to Wm and Cathrine (Philips) Corder of ShenCo. Perhaps they are living with Cathine's famiily which also seems elusive. I have started looking for Philips families in Rockingham and Culpeper Counties. The Corder family I have been attempting to focus on is Wm and Cathrine (Philips) Corder who m. in ShenCo in 1809. The 1809 marriage bonds seem to be missing, so I have no other family members to go on. I did find a Priscilla Philips who m. David Olinger in 1801. Chrisitan Philips was their bondsman. David Olinger was listed in the church records for Davidsburg Church in New Market. Rev, Henkel of Davidsburg Church also m. Wm and Cathrine. Wm signed up for the War of 1812 in New Market. I found Christian Philips listed just below Isabella Furnace on the same page as Jonathan Philips who is associated with Isabella Furnace. Ancestry.com called that area the Pine Forge area. It may have been closer to New Market. Tom Pierce said those names listed below Isabella Furnace did not live at Pine Forge. So Ancestry.com goofed. The Wm Corder listed on page 169-70 in the 1820 census is probably near Gooney Manor since he is with Gilbert Morgan who owned land near there. Those names on pages 165-68 may have been spread out between Isabella Furnace and Browntown. The Ruffners also had land in this area. Perhaps you know something about the Corders of Culpeper after 1820. You may also know which ones were associated with ShenCo./PageCo. as was the Mary who married Jonas Beahm. Any ideas? I find my ancestor John Frederick in the S-K 1810 census Reel M252-71 on page 185 enumerated by J Harbarger....and in the 1820 census at pages 154,160 and 163. Unable to download this. I do not fully understand these indexes... can anyone tell me how to find what political subdivisions these pages represent ? Or where there may be an available text ? Thanks in advance Bert Frederick mailto:frederick539@suscom.net

Hi,Is there anyone who has copy of this book able to do a look-up for me. I would buy the book and have bought many, but wonder if it lists any of my families? I would like to know if any Jennings, Mathews, Boyd, and Roy families are listed? Regards, Ruth --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
Sorry if I missed part of this thread, but does anyone know where to find a copy of the 1815 Directory of Virginia Landowners? I am looking for Shenandoah Co. & Augusta Co. FELLOWS/FELLERS ancestors from the very late-1700s and very early-1800s Thanks, Gordon On Saturday, May 3, 2003, at 03:40 PM, Chocybrown@aol.com wrote: > "1815 Directory of Virginia Landowners (and Gazetteer)" > Abstracted by Roger G. I checked all through the info on the Shenandoah site, no help, but Thanks. All of those were short, like a list. The one I am after appeared to be a written agreement between the Anderson Moffett and Reuben Moore and the 4 justices mention in my msg. of 3 April 2003 this list. Is there some type of book of these agreements, or are the lists the only thing available. Any and All help greatly appreciated. Bill Fox
