    3. Thanks for the information. I corresponded years ago with a gal who was doing Overmeyer. I see them all the time in PA with my families (not Parkinson). I have concentrated on my direct line, but have lots of Parkinson notes etc. We may never find the link as to whether it was coincidence or a connection that brought them to the same area. Margaret Calvin. PS John Parkinson did a lot of work on my line, and most of his notes are preserved in Newark Ohio. >Dear Margaret, > >Daniel Parkison's parents were Edward Parkison (1725-August 1755) >born in England and died in North Cordorus Township, York County, >PA. 3. Following the Parkinson information. MY John Parkinson came from Sawly Cliffs, Eng. stopped briefly in nJ, then to Fairfield co in the part that became Perry co, OH. The only child of theirs born in America was Francis Edward, who is my Parkinson line. He was born "near Zanesville". Father and four sons moved to what was Licking co, Oh, just across the line from Fairfield co. Interesting that these two families came to the same area. Do you have Daniel's parents? I have some info on the Overmeyer line. Just because its a Parkinson. My question is this?|: Is it possible Daniel and my John were brothers, and that John followed Daniel to America? My John was married to Ann Robinson (first name variable). One line says her brother was a General or something like that. Margaret Calvin in Ohio >Dear Chocy, > >I have researched my Rev. 2. Phyllis, my FELLERS (sometimes FELLOWS) ancestors lived in Shenandoah Co. in 1810, went to Augusta Co. (1820, 1830), then went to Carroll Co., IN, which is just southwest of Cass Co. (I think they stayed in Tippecanoe Co., IN briefly on the way) in the mid- to late-1830s. They all remained in Carroll Co. One son did fight for the Union in the Civil War. Other lines came from PA and/or OH to Carroll and Cass counties, IN. I haven't looked into it too much, but I think there was a northern migration route across PA and OH (rivers and roads), and one that came south around the mountains in SW Virginia, then up to the Ohio River and on to north-central IN. 3. Hello all, we're still connected, so I will re-send this message. I know it has been awhile since we've added anything to the site, but I have been busy. ALL the cemetery lists have been re-formatted and revamped, with extra information on military veterans added, mostly Civil War, but also other veterans as well. More little changes are happening, and some new things will be added, which reminds me that if you have anything to contribute, you can send it to me and it will be added. If you have sent me something that I have not added yet, I apologize, it will be added soon. Which brings me to the fact that we're going to be getting everything lined up for next April's SECOND annual Shenandoah County Heritage Day - Saturday April 10. Make your reservations now if you'd like to join us and share information and a good time. We're working on some special attractions and plan to spotlight Fort Valley at next year's event. Hope everyone is enjoying some nice fall weather, the leaves are beautiful here in the Valley, although not at their peak yet. take care all, Don Don Silvius co-coordinator Shenandoah County, VA GenWeb
