My book simply states that Peter's father was Johann Christoph Kauffeldt who died in York Co PA abt 1752-54. His known children where Peter who m. Catherine, Philip Cofflet, Chrirstopher, Maria Elizabeth and Susan Catherine. When reading through the deeds Amy cited, I found mention of George Coffelt and a Christian Coffelt. George was living next door to Peter Coffelt. Christopher was also living next door to Peter. Christian Coffelt was also mentioned in a will for Peter Holler who was Catherine's father. Another deed states that Peter Haller owned land adjacent to Christian Coffelt. Is there more than one Cofflet family, or are we missing the link between them? Hi Don. Is there any way a search engine can be added to the cemetery site so all cemeteries could be search for a name or names? Or is there already something there that I missed? I also have George Coffelt and Anna Wolf data from another book by Amy Gilreath titled "The Grandparents". It gives info for both the Coffect and Wolf family. Annlass (Ann Elizabeth) Druck who married George Coffelt, Jr. is a sister to my 2nd great grandfather Philip Druck/Trook. Philip married Rebecca Painter. What data do you want? One of the sources for the lists on the website was Borden's books, yes. I was told, but did not verify this, that Borden told those who read the stones for him that if it was illegible, not to record it. I'm sure there are mistakes - these have been typed a couple times and none of us are perfect. So I'm sure there are typos and transcribed numbers somewhere. As with all information that isn't from a primary source, double check these records. Would you please check your cemetery books for the Stokesberry/bury/bary name? Also Strichberry & Stretchberry. The name was often mutilated. Kind Regards, Linda On Jun 2, 2007, at 8:12 PM, J. Both marriages you mentioned in Amy Gilreath's book, "Oh, Shenandoah I Love Your Daughters" . The book was written and published by Amy in 1998. She wrote an Excursus on both the Coffelt and Wolf families. She lists four deeds under George and Anna Druck. For George and Anna Clara, she lists their children and eight deeds. If you want this info, I can scan it and then send it to you off-line. Nancy Corder Halvorson

Happy Saturday! Does anyone have info on George Coffelt who married Ann Clara Wolf? I am trying to give my proof of this line to a friend who wants me to join Colonial Dames and for some reason, I only have proof up to George's son, also named George Coffelt who married Annlass Druck on April 20, 1803. (from Shen Co Marriages 1772-1850). Any help would be appreciated, as I am going a little crazy here trying to find any piece of paper with any information on George and Ann Clara. I have no idea where I got these names. Thanks. Denise Mabie ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo!
