KINGSPORT Ollie Bloomer Bruner, 2824 Bloomingdale Pike, died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2000) at the Bristol Wellmont Hospice House after a long illness. Mrs. Bruner was born in Scott County, Va. She was a homemaker and was of the Presbyterian faith. She had many skills in needleworking such as tatting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and quilting. She loved gardening and was a former member of the American Rose Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Bruner; parents, Boe and Rhuhama Bloomer; two sisters, Lauda Carr, and Lois Bledsoe; four brothers, Alden Bloomer, Luther Bloomer, James Bloomer, and Tyler Bloomer; and two sisters-in-law, Morine Bloomer, and Patricia Bloomer. Surviving are her two sons, Bill Bruner, of the home, and Terry Bruner, Tennessee; one sister, Pearl Bloomer, Kingsport; three brothers, Hubert Bloomer, Oh., Vernard Bloomer, Mich., and Herbert Bloomer, Fla.; four grandchildren, Cindy Sargent, Mike Bruner, Kevin Bruner, and Kim Bruner; and two great-grandchildren, Brenne Sargent, and Destiny Bruner. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Oak Hill Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Raymond Amos officiating.
