Pearl Jane Davis Cown was the g-grand daughter of John Barnett and Elizabeth A. Johnston of Scott Co., VA. Pearl died at the home of her daughter, Dean in Duncan, OK. She was 96 yrs young. I visited with Pearl a few years back and she ID many old family pictures and gave me much family history. She was the dau of John David David and Mary Malicoat. He married Oleta Cowan on Feb. 21, 1948 in Wichita Falls, TX. He had lived in the Velma area all his life, and was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dale Reynolds of Velma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Paula Lynn and Danny Ray and Janie Lynn, all of Velma; three sisters, Rosalie Smith and Bessie Smith, both of Midland and Sue Barteau of Duncan; a brother William Lynn of Midwest City; six grandchildren, Jessie Ray Lynn, Danny Ray Lynn, Jamie Lynn, Melissa Lynn, Jana Marie Reynolds and Jalena Reynolds; and a great grandchild, Checotah Ray McMeans.
