WEBER CITY, Va. S.C. (Pig) Lowe, 80, of Pine Street, departed this life early Sunday morning (Oct. 8, 2000) at his residence. He was a native of Mountain City, Tenn. Mr. Lowe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II, as well as a member of Cattlet Masonic Lodge No. 35. He was also a merchant with Thrift-Way Markets. Mr. Lowe was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard S. and Cassie Shoun Lowe. Surviving are his wife, Georgie Falin Lowe, Weber City, Va.; a sister, Betty Durnan, Wilmington, Del.; and a brother, Richard Lowe, Johnson City. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Willis officiating. Music will be provided by the Midway Quartet. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Bright, Dodge Willis, Edward Catron, Billy Jack Frazier, Jimmy Mann, and Terry Frazier.
