death date 5-10-1985. Mrs. Mary Williams Gate City, VA. - Mrs. Mary A. Williams, 85, Route 5, Gate City, VA. Died at 12 p.m. Friday at Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Scotty County, VA, she lived most of her life there and was a member of Morrison City Freewill Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe B. Williams, in 1975 and a foster daughter, Mrs. Leona Nell Williams in 1983. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Estelle W. Hamilton, Kingsport; a foster son, bobby D. Pierson, Buff City, Tenn.; one step grandson. One foster granddaughter and two step great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Hoston View Cemetery.
