Sarah and others interested, Everyone, (in my humble opinion), should have a copy of the Everton Genealogical Helper, it contains brief county histories, dates of formation, address of county clerks and many other helpful items. The Everton Publishers do have a genealogy site, perhaps someone else on the list can provide the address. I myself have 2 of their books an 1971 edition and a 1995 both have been invaluable to me.
