You will find a complete description (along with a free historical timeline) at: http://www.mounet.com/~echo/ppp.htm Scott County was settled pretty early. I now think about 1767, perhaps by Obediah Terrel, for whom Obey's Creek was named. He, Bazel Boren and Thomas Kilgore established Kilgore's Camp just East of Patrick Porter's settlement near Dungannon (at Fall's Creek). Thomas McCullock was another early settler (1769) in the Big Moccasin Valley (near where Ft. Houston was later built. You definitely have some interesting ancestors.
