Hi List: Looking for the surname and parents of Rachel abt. 1822 in probably Washington Co., VA. Married J. Campbell JOHNSTON abt. 1838 in probably Whythe or Washington Co. First found in Scott Co. in the 1850 census. Census indicates that the family first arrived abt. 1845. J. Campbell and Rachel UNKNOWN JOHNSTON had 17 children. Looking for any information on John Harless who was married to a Sarah Bond Barnett Collins. One of their children were Nick Harless who later married Margaret Jane Godsey from Wise County. Nick and Jane were probably married in Scott County about 1894 and moved to the Stickeyville area of Lee County. Any information would be helpful on John and Sarah.
