Well, I, for one, want anyone who has information on the surnames Benton, Nunn or Groom(e) in Scott County to respond to the LIST, since that's what a mailing list is for and why I've subscribed. I'm looking for William Thomas Benton who came to Scott County sometime around 1840 from Caswell County, North Carolina. William was married to Dorothy Elizabeth (Betsy) Groom(e) and I'm not sure at this time, but I think some of her brothers may also have come to Scott County. William & Betsy's son, Zachariah Benton, also came to Scott County about the same time. Zachariah's wife was Mary Nunn. I know absolutely nothing about her other than her name, so if anyone has Nunns from Scott County in the 1840s and 1850s, I'd love to make contact with you. Thanks!! Juli
