    1. [VAScott] Roll Call - FISHER, SCALF, BLEDSOE
    2. Wayne Duncan
    3. I am searching for the ancestors of my paternal great-grandparents (one set of them!)Isabelle Fisher (Born 1879, location unknown, but suspect Scott County, died 1951) married John Scalf on May 12, 1900 (in Scott County). The family was supposedly from the Fairview area of Scott County. Isabelle's parents were Enoch Fisher(born 1857, the youngest of six children) and Mary Bledsoe (born about 1864) This union of Isabelle Fisher and John Scalf created nine children. The oldest child of this marriage was my grandmother, Cora Scalf. She married Oran Curtis Duncan, Sr. in 1926 in Scott County. They had eight children (one of which was my father). Then I came along. So there's the story line......... I have very little information on this particular line.(Fisher and Bledsoe) I do have the census data from 1860, 1870, and 1880 which shows the Fisher family jumped back and forth across the TN/VA state line; as many families did or were caught in the shifting borders of the states. Any connections would be a God send and any ideas on any of these folks are greatly appreciated. Visit my website, http://www.hillsandhollers.net for some information about Scott County and the surrounding counties. Very respectfully, Wayne Duncan
