For my Green Family History, I am looking for the following decendents of: Charlie Green b. 1901 who married Maggie Cleek. Charlie Green was the son of James Wellington Green, my gr.gr.uncle. James Wellington Green b. 1857 was the son of Francis Marion Green.and Rosemond Brickey. Charlie Green has a brother, Clell Green still living in Kingsport, but he is over 90 years old and I don't want to bother him. If anyone is related, I would appreciate it. Sorry, I don't have any more information. I was working on John Henry Livesay who married Molly Childress. From their marriage record found his mother was Laura Livesay. I learned she married 3 times. Joseph Livesay, Andrew Munsey and David Bledsoe. I then plugged her in the search engine on Familysearch.org and found her to be the only Laura Livesay in the 1880 census, therefore finding her parents. That is all the information I have on her parents Esley and Rebecca Livesay. It looks like Esley was born in TN, married Rebecca Unknown in Rockcastle Co KY then after the births of the first 4 children returned to TN. Do you have access to Rockcastle Co KY marriage records? That may give us a big clue as to if Esley is Doc. Thanks for responding. Greetings: I would like to find out who the parents were of Clabe/Henry Clabe Stanley, really anything at all would be helpful. Someone has told me in some notes that they took about twenty years ago that his parents were James Stanley and Sallie/Sally Stengle/Stengel (not sure of the spelling of her name at all) but nothing written down as to the source.....help!  Have not been able to locate Clabe in the 1880 census at all, don't know where he was hiding, at the time he should have been 15 years old or close to it. The obituary below mentions that Clabe had a brother named Flenn, have not been able to locate a word on him at all. Clabe's wife Rose/Rosa, her maiden name was Handley, born in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of Ewell and Mary Handley. At some point in time Clabe lived in Greenup Kentucky and last place of residence Portmouth, Ohio. Clabe Stanley, 1726 Eighth Street, died today at 4:40 a.m. at the home of his son, Manley Stanley. Mr. Stanley had been ill two years with heart trouble. He suffered his last attack May 13 and failed to rally. Mr. Stanley had lived in Portsmouth the last 30 years and had been a blacksmith for the N. & W. and Wheeling Steel Corp. He was born May 15, 1865, in Scott County, Virginia. He was married 45 years ago to Rose Strothers, who died in 1919. In 1923, Mr. Stanley was united in marriage to Cora Powell, who also preceded him in death in August, 1935. Surviving are four children and three stepchildren, Mrs. Lillian (Stanley) Newman, 1716 High Street, Manley Stanley, 1726 Eighth, Clarence Stanley of Cleveland, Allen Stanley of Washington, D. C., Ewell Strothers of Mound Street, Robert Strothers of Wheelersburg, and Mrs. Bertha Keene of Maloneton. One brother, Flenn Stanley of Buffalo Shoals, W. Va., and two grandchildren, Clinton Stanley and Joan Newman, also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Windel-Howland funeral home with Rev. William Mosley in charge. Burial will be in old Wheelersburg cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home. *Newspaper unknown at this time, probably from a Portsmouth, Ohio paper. Found obit in between pages of a bible that belonged to Beatrice (Ham) Stanley, the wife of Manley Stanley, son of Clabe. Date of death was May 20, 1938. No family history written in the bible. Clabe's son, Clarence Claiburn Stanley is my husband's direct line. I have a close up picture of Clabe's grandson Raymond Charles Stanley if anyone is interested in looking at, let me know will send.
