I am mainly researching Whitaker & Huffman, the Whitakers are mostly Scott Co. Virginia, the Huffman's moved back and forth from Scott County to Sullivan Co. TN. I'm still trying to find ancestors of my great grandfather, William F. Gibson, born c. 1834 in Kentucky but also lived in Scott and Lee Counties of Virginia. There have been suggestions from others as to his parents but no proof. He was listed in the 1880 Scott County Census with his wife--Alzie(Alafare Barnett), Hiram, John(my grandfather), Nancy Elizabeth(Fisher), Mary(Stevens) and Rosa Belle(Davenport). I can't find William in any other census. His last child, William, was born 1887 in Lee County and he married Rosa Parolee Yost. Navada Gibson Heflin
