List, I was just notified that Pat Drake has posted more old photos on her site. She's doing a outstanding job. You know when you check out the photos there is a place to make comments, if the photo is any connection to any of your lines, this is a great way to make more connections. I keep checking to see if any new connections have been found on any of my lines! Now that I have added my two cents worth, I'll shut up. Thanks Jean Fresno CA

Good afternoon, Calvin Weatherly born March 22, 1817, Guilford County, North Carolina - died April 25, 1897, Pattonsville, Scott County, Virginia was a 3rd great-uncle - or whatever a brother of a 3rdg-grandfather is. <grin> I have two or three sources of descendants of Calvin and Susannah - which answer some of my questions. I would love to correspond with anyone here who is a descendant of this couple. I am particularly interested in Calvin's lineage because I am descended from his namesake nephew Calvin - or John Calvin Weatherly. The line seems to have problems deciding how to name, address, and record given names. Anyone else have that problem? I do have more information on the descendants of Zebediah Weatherly, Calvin's father, that I am happy to share with anyone interested. Thanks, @[email protected]

Does anyone have information about Nelson and Mamie Sproles. They lived in Scott Co from at least 1922-1942. That is the only time that I have documentation on. They could have been in Scott co earlier or later than that those dates. They had at least three children:Willie James (b 1922 in Hiltons, W.T., and Gladys. Mamie was born 1899 and died 1969. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I have hit a brick wall with these. Pat, I know just what you are saying about the rolling blackouts, Fresno was hit all day and night yesterday from the local news. So we shell wait until this power matter has been cleared up before scanning any more pictures. Just last night I learn it was to hit my home in Fresno, so I'm leaving this morning for Fresno as soon as the roads are cleared. At least I have a large fire place down there. My 80 yr. old mother lives with me in my home there. I'm going out and purchase a 5000 generator when I get down there today, been talking about it for a couple months, I need one for my RV anyhow. Just be getting it before I had planned, oh well. I thought Gov Davis had solved PG & E power problem, but guess it has turned into a political thing now. Guess it's time to start a real hard push on Gov. Davis office! What really bothers me the most is, what about the seniors that doesn't have anyone to help them during these blackouts! Well I know one senior who will be taken care of and most likely some of my mom's friends will be coming over as well to stay warm. Our ancestors made it just fine without the modern day inventions and I'm sure we will manage just fine. But sure will miss our computers! grin. Oh well, another day in the modern life style. One can heat water over a fireplace, cook food on their BBQ pit, take a bath on Sat afternoons, and read by oil lamps, just like camping out. Will get the pictures done as soon as possible Pat.
