    2. Evon: According to USGS National Mapping Information, there is a Fincastle Church in Scott County; it's east of Dungannon. For a map, go to the USGS site, type in Fincastle, select Virginia and enter. You'll get a list of four* "features." To find the church, click on "show feature details and location" and then on "show feature location" on Tiger Map Server option. http://www-nmd.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html Anyone who hasn't used this site should try it. I've even found towns and post offices which no longer exist. Carol in Cornhuskerland *Fincastle also is a "populated place" in Botetourt County, and, in Tazewell County, there's Fincastle Baptist Church and Fincastle County Club. _____________________ Original Message: > Does any one know what and where Fincastle in Scott Co. is?????? 1. NOT GENEALOGY
    2. Dear Vote.com voter, Log on to http://florida.vote.com to tell the federal government if it should lease offshore drilling sites off the Florida coast. Supporters of drilling say that it will help keep energy costs down and prevent the kinds of blackouts and brownouts that California is currently experiencing. Opponents fear that the proposed lease area would pollute waters vital to Florida's ecology and tourism economy. Should the drilling be permitted? When you vote on this issue at http://florida.vote.com we'll e-mail your opinion to the federal Minerals Management Service, which is accepting public comment on the issue until January 23. Please make your vote count, and ask your friends and family to vote too! Sincerely, Your friends at Vote.com http://florida.vote.com

    2. Hi Evon, I know of a Fincastle, Virginia that is north of Roanoke, Viginia on Route 220. I am not sure, but I do not think it is in Scott County though. This is the only Fincastle that I know of, does not sound like the one your looking for. This one is about 2.5 to 3 hours away from ScottCounty. I tried to find something in Scott County called Fincastle with no luck. Sorry I can't help with Fincasle in Scott County, Virginia. 2. Cousins and listmembers, Finally got mybiopsy results back and they still don't know if it is cancer or not.So my Dr. sent the sample off to the Mayo Clinic. Dr says he believes thst if it was a very agressive cancer that there would be no doubt as to what it is. So he still leans toward it being benign or very low grade slow growing cancer. So maybe no news is good news.It will be about two weeks before the results are in.Will let you know as soon as I know. Please keep me in your prayers, Pat
