Can anyone tell me if any county death records were kept for early 1912? I know the state started keeping records in mid-1912, but I am looking for January 1912. If so, where can you view them? Welcome back everyone! I am trying to break through 2 brickwalls in my 6th generation before I move on to the next one. One is in MN, the other is in Scott Co. I still have not been able to discover the surname for Rachel Johnston w/o Campbell Johnston. I am listing the names of their 15 children in the hope that there may be a birth record listing Rachel's surname. 1840 Census shows Campbell Johnston in Smythe Co. By 1850, he and Rachel are in Scott Co. The following information comes from the files of Jean Brand. i. Charles W. Johnston b. 1839 ii. Sarah E. Johnston b. 1841 iii. Mary J. Johnston b. 1843 m. William H. Miller iv. James Campbell Johnston b. Aug 1845 v. William R. Johnston b. 1847 vi. Peter Johnston b. 1850 (I suspect Peter died before 1860.) vii. Rebecca Johnston b. 1854 viii. Lydia A. Johnston b. 1855 m. Gardner Tomlinson ix. Squire Johnston b. 21 Oct 1857 (Possibly have Squire and Eliza's birth reversed.) x. Eliza Johnston b. 1858 m. William Harris xi. Walter Johnston b. 1859 xii. Julia A. Johnston b. 1862 m. James Bledsoe xiii. Berilla Johnston b. 1864 xiv. Thomas Johnston b. 1866 xv. Rosanna Johnston b. 1870 Also, Campbell Johnston dies in Lee Co. in 1885. In 1870, he and Rachel are still in Scott. Co. Campbell may have moved in with a child after the death of Rachel. Perhaps there is a death record in Scott Co. for Rachel Johnston between 1870 and 1885. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Corinne

Starting at 8 a.m. PST Friday, February 23, RootsWeb will begin a planned temporary downtime for maintenance of its servers and hosting process. It will limit this downtime as much as possible, and will return with increased performance and reliability for future growth. In the meantime, please take time to visit RootsWeb.com's sister sites -- Ancestry.com and FamilyHistory.com -- where you will find additional tools such as message boards, communities, and databases to help you in the search for your ancestors. Thank you for your patience. --The RootsWeb Staff

Another praise report from the Elliott family! The biopsy results are back and "No cancer"! Praise the Lord.Dr. will watch it for a while yet and maybe remove the lesion in about a month depending on my pain level, which by the way is deminishing more all the time. It used to hurt all the time, I would sit with a heat pad around my knee most every evening. Now it only hurts if I am on it a lot.No knee replacement, just take out the lesion and fill the whole full of bone cement.Of course Dr. will always keep an I on it,sense I have had this cancer scare, but right now everything looks great. What a mighty God we serve!! Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and well wishes and know that I will be here for all of you too. Love to all, Pat
