Location of the cemetery: Listed on USGS map as "Ferrell Cemetery". On Route 19, west of Southwest Virginia Community College; accross the Russell Co. border. Presently Indian Hills Development, Lot 12. Here are the names of the people buried there: The death year is in (----). Samue Romine (1795/6) Revolutionary War Soldier Catherine Hoffmeyer Romine (1798/9) Mary Webb Remine (1828) William H Remine (1845) Elizabeth Ferrill (1845) James Hervey Remine (1847) Mary "Polly" Ferrell Duff (1854); daugther of Richard Ferrell Richard Ferrell (1862) Nancy Ferrell (1887?) Julina Whitaker Ferrell (1870); wife of William Ferrell 1826-1904 son of Richard William S. H. Ferrell (1936) Mary Ann Martin Ferrell (1941); One child to Wlm SH Ferrell and Mary. Four children born to William Henry Ferrell and Elizabeth Jane Peery. Their names were: James and Walter (1921); Ervin Payton and Margaret May Ferrell (1924). There are at least 2 more depressions. They could be children of the Remines or Ferrells. Don't know yet. Another possibility for the 2 other adult depressions, could be... the parents of Mary Ann Martin Ferrell (William Patton Martin and Elizabeth "Peggy" Taylor).
Are these Ferrells and Romines connected to the Richard Ferrell and Rebecca Romine line at all?
