Price, born most probably in Russell Co. ca. 1827 married 1848 in Scott Co, to Frances (Fanny) O. Aldridge. We believe John's parents were Drury Price, Sr. born ca. 1788 in VA and wife Margaret (?). In 1850, Drury and Margaret were living in Scott Co. with their children. In 1860, Drury and Margaret were living with John M. Price and family in Scott Co. In 1870, Margaret was living in Washington Co. with her daughter Priscilla and husband William H. Townsend. We further speculate that Drury Price, Sr. was the son of Daniel Price born 12 July 1764 in S. Carolina and his wife Judith Puckett from Russell Co. We would appreciate learning beyond speculation: that John M. Price was the son of Drury Price, Sr.; the date that Drury passed away between 1860 and 1870; the maiden name of Drury's wife Margaret, and the date that Margaret passed away between 1870 and 1880.
