    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Holbrook McCoy Gibson Brumfield Crump Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3871.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks Mina. Yes, that is the Thomas in question and that makes more sense that his wife, Elizabeth, was a Gibson. It was just not adding up that she was a Holbrook. If you have a source for Elizabeth's parents, perhaps Mike Dye will change the 1850 Annotated Census. I have a related question. There seems to be a difference of opinion among researchers as to whether George McCoy's wife was Mary Brumfield or Mary Crump. There is a Russell deed dated 2 Feb 1807 in which George McCoy and wife Mary sold 50 acres to the several heirs of John Crump, deceased. Although it doesn't specifically say that Mary was also an heir, it appears that she may have been selling her share to the other heirs. Is there any proof she was a Brumfield? I know they named the third son Brumfield McCoy. Max
