My daughter-in-law is descended from Emeline Compton, twin sister of Charles' Angeline. Their mother, Emily, was the daughter of Alexander Lee and his wife, Sarah Guthrie Lee. They were part of the famous Lee family of Virginia. They were also in Russell County, and if you go to the GenWeb site you will find more stuff. We knew that Emily and James stopped living together, but no details. Was there ever a divorce? Do you know when they died and where they are buried? Emeline is buried in a cemetery over which Virginia built a road.
