For information contact “Soupbean” Katie Angermeyer at dolfit@dccnet.com or 604-885-2969. The Russell Co. connection to is through Thomas Johnson (b. abt1757 MD – d.1835 Carter/ Johnson Co. TN). He was an early pioneer in Lebanon, Castlewood, Elk Garden. His son Thomas H. Johnson married Elizabeth Lindsey of Washington Co., and their daughter Barbara Johnson married her first cousin David Lindsey. Our great grandfather is Barbara and David's son, James Alexander Lindsey born in Johnson County TN. I believe there are descendents of the elder Thomas Johnson or his brother Benjamin Johnson still living in Russell County. A James G. Johnson had written papers on this family history in 1947, and mentioned he still owned land at Elk Garden, and his brother Odgen Johnson lived in Lebanon. Would dearly love to connect with descendents of this family.
