I thank everyone for the info on the newspapers. I went to the Lebanon newspaper and was also told they lost everything in a fire. I was unaware of the microfilmed items in Christiansburg. Would you believe I have a sister who lives there. I'll contact them to see how far back the microfilms go. I would appreciate it if everyone kept me in mind regarding info on newspapers and or magazines published in the area in the early 1900's. Thanks, Robin
Robin, I don't know that they would have the information you seek, but the Roanoke City Public Library has a good collection of genealogical and local history for all of Southwest Virginia in its Virginia Room.
