William Jackson , son of Levi and Ruthy Keene, md Adaline/Jane Matinglee/Matney 1823 Tazewell VA. Adaline/Jane was probably the daughter of Brooks Mattingly/Matney and Jenett Young. Patton Keene b 1817 Russell Co. VA, son of William Keene and Rebecca Jackson (Levi's sister), md Mary Hunt (second marriage?) in 1853. Patton had a wife Mary 1850 census, two Payne children in his home. Thomas Payne b 1813, wife Mary (Vencill) lived two doors away in the 1850 census. Between Patton Keene and Thomas Payne 1850 census Russell Co., lived Lydia Owen, age 67 born Rhode Island. I think she may have been Lydia Mattingly/Matney, first married an Owens; then married James Crabtree in 1858, at age 75. She died in 1859 Tazewell Co VA. Her parents were Walter and Honor/Polly Mattingly/Matney. Walter was the father or uncle of Brooks who married Jenett Young. Can anyone help confirm that Lydia Owens was who I think, and shed light on what her relationship, if any, was with the Keene, Jackson, or Payne families? Or who Mr. Owens was? Laurie Morales
