I have written a book on the Thompson Family of Wayne County and it includes many Thompsons from Russell County. Zaddock's full name was Zaddock Nathaniel Thompson. He was born in 1853 in Russell County. He married Mary Wallis first in 1876 in Russell County. She drowned and "Dock" moved to Wayne County, West Virginia where he married his distant cousin Ada Crabtree. He had one son named Melvin with Mary Wallis. Dock and Ada's children were George W., Cumberland, Mary, William Henry "Henley", Solomon Grover Cleveland, Leonundas "Lonnie", Zeddie Gilmer, Elizabeth, Laura, and one unnamed child. Dock moved to Wayne County, WV in late 1878 or early 1879. He settled on Bartram Fork and is buried there. I have a picture of Dock as well. Are you related to this family?
