Thanks for the note Michael, All I had was the marriage record and George Settle's paper that says Ellen was a "relative" of the Eli Jackson family. I took that to mean not his daughter. I had seen the other census record with Linear, but didn't recognize her as Malinda. Would you or someone out there have a list of Children for the two John Jacksons? Also, is there a marriage record for John and Malinda anywhere? Also, if anyone out there has any further info on these families I'd welcome it. The Ellen mentioned below is the d/o of this John Jackson. The John Hunt Jackson family is in HH #1203 of the 1850 Russell Co. census. His first wife, Sarah Jackson (d/o Eli Jackson & Elizabeth Hunt) is deceased and his second wife, Lydia A. Owens is listed in the household with him. John Hunt Jackson did not have a daughter named Ellen with either of his wives.
