She states that she was m. in Lee Co VA & that her name before marriage was Nancy Osborne. Gilbert Stephens d. 16 Feb 1852. They reared 10 children all "living in the neighborhood". The eldest was Milly, b. 11 June 1798, the next was Andrew b. 29 Sep 1800. In 1855 Jesse Osborne of Johnson Co KY made statement for her (he was 73) & stated that they were m. at the house of Thomas Leddenton in Lee Co. Hannah Blevins of Lawrence Co KY made statement & said she had known them since they were married. Stephen Stephens & Solomon Stephens helped bury him. There is what appears to be a declaration made by Gilbert in 1834(?) but it is unreadable. According to Nancy's statement, he was a pensioner.
