He was b. 1760 in Granville (Greensville ?) Co VA. He resided on the Holston in VA in 1777 when he volunteered to go to the defense of the settlers in what became KY. He was marched to Boonsboro. He d. 15 Nov 1852. He m. Sarah Bates in Ill in 1815. She was 64 in 1853. Little Page Proctor got statements from Joseph Proctor, Mathew Horn and William Horn of Estill KY for his application. He moved from KY to Missouri in 1808 for 2 or 3 years, then moved to Illinois. Joseph Proctor was refered to as a clergyman. He mentioned his brother Nicholas Proctor.
