Tate 04/15/99 Alalynn Jessee Tate, 89, of Birmingham, Ala., died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Saint Vincent's Hospital, Birmingham. Mrs. Tate was a resident of Galleria Woods Retirement Center in Birmingham and a former resident of Haleyville, Ala., and Elizabethton. She was a native of Russell County, Va., and a member of the Haleyville Methodist Church. Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Tate. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Tate Witte, Gulf Shores, Ala.; a brother, Marshall B. Jessee, Tampa, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Brenda Stephenson and Lori Taylor, both of Birmingham, Ala. Four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services and interment will be held Saturday in Lebanon, Va.
