He states he was b. 18 July 1755 & he removed west to Holston River with his brothers (all dead as of 1833) in 1773. He lived near the "seven mile ford". In 1797 he moved to Jessamine Co KY. He mentioned that Arthur Bowen did not go with his company to King's Mountain & had hired a man named Miles Goforth as his substitute who was wounded in the battle. He states that the land he lived on was adjacent to Arthur Bowen's property & that when he moved he sold his land to John Byers. Andrew Stainton made statement for him in Lexington & said he had lived with Roman in Washington Co VA. Robert Russell also made statement for him. Russell was living 8 miles from Lexington KY.
