Sisk Robert L. Sisk, 85, 604 Birch Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Sisk was a native of Russell County, Va., and the son of the late Hendy and Eveline Mutter Sisk. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Mr. Sisk was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation and a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton. He was a member of the Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166 and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1512. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Maude Lester Sisk, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Duane Kelly, Morristown; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Mike and Kris Kelly, Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Rob Kelly, Knoxville; a sister, Ethel Kimbro, Elizabethton; and a special nephew, W.L. Kimbro, Norfolk, Va. Several other nephews and nieces also survive. Sisk, 85, 604 Birch Street, Elizabethton, who died Monday, June 10, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Don Marshall officiating. Music will be by Gene and Carolyn Estep. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with bagpiper Jon Shell. Military Honors will be accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 604 Birch Street, Elizabethton, at any time. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. To those who desire, memorials may be made to the Carter County Emergency and Rescue Squad, P.O.
