He was b. 5 Sep 1760 & d. 26 Feb 1833. He entered service in 1777 as a substitute for his father John Loveless. They were living at Holston "twelve miles from Wolf Hills Courthouse". In 1778 George went to KY in ".preparation for the reception of his fathers family.", but due to Indians the family did not come that year, nor did he go back to VA. In 1779 he brought his family to KY. He said there were 19 or more families that made the trip with them. They stayed at Riddles Station until they built Martin's Station on the waters of the Licking River. In 1780 they were under siege by the British, Canadians, and Indians. George's younger brother (named John who also lived in Trumbull Ohio) made statement for him & said that their stepmother's mother was killed & scalped, and they were all taken prisoner to Detroit & held for 4 years, and released in 1784 in PA.
