He entered service in Washington Co VA in 1778. Said he was b. 1762 in Baltimore MD & that he resided on the Holston since a young boy. He was marched to Boonesboro Fort in KY & moved there shortly after the close of the Revolution. Matthias Horn of Estill Co KY made statement for him.
