He was b. 1760 in North Carolina. He entered service in Washington Co VA in 1780. He said the record of his age was with his brother in VA who was then dec'd. Abner Lee d. 7 Oct 1852 at the home of his dau Alsy Van Zandt in Jackson Co TN. SHe was 49 in 1855. Abner was a widower when he m. Sally Miller on 12 Sept 1835 in Jackson Co TN.
