He was b. 8 June 1750 in GA, that part that became Wilkes Co. His father was killed by Indians. He entered service in Montgomery Co VA in 1778 for a term of 3 yrs. His wife, Francis states she was 90 yrs old in 1871, married her husband 15 Aug 1796 in Russell Co VA (another statement says Washington Co VA), and one of her declarations was filed in Magoffin Co KY.
