In her statement she says he first enlisted in Rockbridge Co VA, was wounded in forehead & back, then enlisted in Washington Co VA for the War of 1812 in which service he died in 1814 in Norfolk VA. William & Mary m. 12 Sep 1789 & they were living in Washington Co VA in 1796. Mary remarried to Adam Surber who d. in 1833. William & Mary had 6 children. Their son William made statement for her in Pulaski KY in 1844. Abner Bryant, a resident of Pulaski KY also made statement saying he knew William & Mary in Washington Co VA.
